How to be safe in a Freestyle envionment
The
key focus for Maverix is the safety of all participants in it's freestyle courses.
The freestyle apects of snowsports can be hassardous. Therefore Maverix adheres
to a set of key guildines in coaching and park safety to enable it's clients
to have the most fun without having to overly worry about their own well being.
We have found that the American system produced by The
National Ski Areas Association with Burton Snowboards provides and very
well defined set of principles under their SMART Style banner.
What is SMART Style?
SMART Style is a set of key guidelines that are in addition to the Responsibility
Code specifically created for your time in the snow park. It covers the
following areas:
1.MAKE A PLAN
2.LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP
3.EASY STYLE IT
4.RESPECT GETS RESPECT
Check out these short videos that explain more about SMART Style in relation
